Description

The willingness to take risks describes the inclination of a person to take risks or to avoid them. The short scale Risikobereitschaft-1 (R-1) (readiness to take risks) was developed to enable an economic measurement of the psychological characteristic readiness to take risks in social science surveys or studies, which allows a reliable and valid measurement of the construct despite the brevity of the scale. The answer format consists of a 7-step rating scale with the end poles "not at all willing to take risks" to "very willing to take risks".
