Data Package Description
The survey was conducted as a standardized online survey that primarily covered three topics: Awareness, activities and needs regarding research data management. The sample included all Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Germany (full coverage survey) and the target groups were professors and research assistants at these institutions. Initially, one person from the presidential board/rectorate as well as one person responsible for research data management (RDM) at each UAS was identified and contacted by e-mail. These persons were asked to forward the questionnaire link to the research-conducting staff at their university. This way, 2,456 people from 109 UAS were recruited to participate in the survey. A pretest ensured the quality of the questionnaire. The preparation and analysis of the data was done syntax-based using Stata.
