Data Package Description
The fifth survey of the Student Survey focuses on the comparison between the old and the new federal states. It covers the following topics: access to higher education and specialized studies, choice of education and expectations of studies, studies and teaching, learning and working behavior, study path and course of studies, student life situation, contacts and communication, study experiences and problems, ideas about higher education and science, role and opportunities of university graduates, career choice and career ideas, socio-political ideas. The data are based on random samples at eleven universities and ten universities of applied sciences in West Germany and comprise 634 items (plus additionally created variables).
