EUROGRADUATE 2022 initiated the 2nd phase of a European pilot survey of higher education graduates. EUROGRADUATE aims at ... morelaying the ground for a sustainable European graduate survey. This is an exciting initiative to map the impact that experiences of European graduates during their time as students have had on their professional lives and their lives as European citizens. The project explores how graduates studied, whether they are satisfied with their studies, which competencies they achieve, whether they travelled abroad, and what they did after graduation. The results will be used to compare the different higher education systems in Europe and identify ways in which they can better prepare young people for the world of work and their role in society. The results of the study will help universities to improve their study programmes and teaching methods, support future students in their study decisions and serve as a source of information for policy makers. At European level, this data will help to analyse progress in the realisation of the European Education Area. EUROGRADUATE 2022 was led by an international consortium of four partner organisations: German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW, Germany, coordination), Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS, Austria), Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market at the University of Maastricht (ROA, The Netherlands), and cApStAn linguistic quality control (Belgium). National research teams implemented the EUROGRADUATE survey 2022 in the participating countries. Sustainable Working Conditions in Academia Survey (STAIRCASE Survey)

The dataset contains a wide range of psychological, occupational, and demographic variables from individuals working in academic environments. It includes information on psychometric scales, characteristics of the working environment, and traits of leadership personnel. Collected data includes measures of work engagement, burnout, resilience, stress and anxiety, overall wellbeing, job predictability, role clarity, perceptions of workplace safety policies, job insecurity, job control, interpersonal conflict, work-family conflict, sense of community, illegitimate tasks, work-related stress, as well as emotional and instrumental support. Leadership aspects such as leader demands, lack of care, supervisor integrity, and overall job satisfaction were also assessed. Furthermore, several characteristics of the working environment were surveyed, including the country of the main workplace, contract duration, overtime hours, time allocation for teaching, research, fundraising, mentoring, and administrative tasks, number of research outputs, opportunities for personal development, intentions to leave academia, experiences or perceptions of harassment, and frequency of meetings with supervisors. less

It does this through coupling a central coordination approach with a strong network of national partners in each participating country. In this way, an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the respective national frameworks in international comparison can be made. The main users of our findings are higher education policy-makers at national and European level, researchers in this field, managers of higher education institutions and - of course - students all over Europe. less

DZHW Panel Study of School Leavers 2012 - Educational paths of school leavers with a higher education entrance qualification

The DZHW-Panel Study of School Leavers 2012 is part of the DZHW-Panel Study of School Leavers survey series, in which standardized multiple surveys are used to collect information on the post-school careers of school leavers with a (school) higher educatio... moren entrance qualification. As a rule, several survey waves are conducted at different times before and after the acquisition of the higher education entrance qualification for each year group of persons with a university entrance qualification. Accordingly, this is a combined cohort-panel design. The panel 2012 is the 19th cohort of the study series with currently three waves. The special topics chosen for the 2012 DZHW-Panel Study of School Leavers were information behaviour in choosing a post-school career, the social environment and cultural experience. less
