# Release Notes for DZHW Panel Study of School Leavers 2018 (gsl2018)

All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.

  	- 	Data from wave 2 has been added, resulting in 3 datasets:
    		(1) gsl2018_p_<...>:            Student data from wave 1 and wave 2
                	                    	integerated into a long format dataset 
                        	            	(2 observations per student).
    		(2) gsl2018_principals_x_<..:>: Data from principals of secondary schools
                	                    	(collected in wave 1).
    		(3) gsl2018_e_<...>:            Spell data (also: episode data, event history data)
                	                    	on students' activities from 2014 to 2018 (monthly).
 	- 	Various variables on occupations of students and their parents have been added.
	  	The respective variables have the following names pattern:

	-	Variable `gesund` on students self-assessed Health has been added.

	- 	Variable questionnaires from wave 2 have been added (de).
	- 	Filer flowcharts for wave 2 have been added (de/en).
	-	Variable and Question metadata have been added (de/en).

## Changed

	-	Identifiers `pid`, `schulleitung_id`, and `schul_id` have been changed.
	- 	Some (numeric) missing values have been recoded.
	- 	Various variable and value labels have been edited both in German and English. 

## Removed
-	Data
	-	Data from 204 students (observations) have been removed from the dataset.
	  	These students did not attain a higher education entrance certificate 
	  	and are not eligible for higher education or are otherwise no longer 
	  	considered part of the target population.
