Data Package Description
The eighth survey of the Student Survey covers the topics of access to higher education, motives for studying and expectations; study strategies, course of studies and qualifications; study intensity, time required and duration of studies; study requirements, regulations and examinations; contacts, social climate and counseling; situation of teaching and quality of studies; student lifestyles and social situation; difficulties, impairments and burdens; higher education policy and student representation; professional orientations and labor market; political participation and social perceptions; demographic and educational biographical data. The data are based on random samples at 13 universities and ten universities of applied sciences in West Germany and include 593 items (plus additionally created variables).
