ValCom2: Value and competence beliefs in adulthood (Study 3) 

This dataset is from Study 3 of the ValCom2 project. The project investigates the formation of expectancy of success and subjective task value when facing novel learning content. It is a cross-sectional survey of adults implemented through the Social Science Panel. The sample was drawn from those panel participants who were no longer listed as students. The questionnaire consisted of questions on demographics, school- and subject-specific as well as general academic motivation (ability self-concept and intrinsic value), prior knowledge of subjects, Need For Cognition, and perceived similarity between school and study
subjects.
